Anti-OSAll Defacement
11/1/99

Mike Hudack
Editor-in-Chief

It´s started -- or has it?  Flipz defaced a domain (the Singapore Government´s Web site) with the following message:

OSALL sucks 10x mores then JP has ever. OSALL is a up and coming JP cunt. Dont trust him. Site edited by flipz. Why? Because I can.

The motivation behind this defacement?  No, it wasn´t that I had to talk to the FBI about a future defacement.  Rather it was an article about the exploit Flipz is using.

Filpz Quitz

In a discussion with Flipz after the defacement he said that it was because the article had called him a script kiddie.  After telling him to read the article again, particularly who called him a kiddie, he did so.  He eventually apologized and said he is going to stop defacing Web sites.

He then gave OSAll a list of vulnerable sites, specifically asking that the FBI be notified that these servers are vulnerable.  Included in the list was a security company, two Microsoft servers and numerous government and military Web sites.

Support

No article about the first anti-OSAll defacement would be complete without some JP-esque quality.  With that in mind, I must mention that support following the defacement was overwhelming.  Dozens of e-mails and even more IRC messages convinced me that not many people shared Flipz´ opinion :-)

Don´t forget to discuss this issue on the OSAll BBSystem!
