The Belgians Ask For Help

Hi,
Please, do -not- send this e-mail /dev/null since it is of
great importance to the Belgian scene!! This is the first
time we have to send out a cry for help, because the truth
has been brutally murdered by the belgian media business.
Therefore we need all of your help! This is -not- a y2k
hoax!!
Over the past few months, the Belgian scene has been overrun
by a "script kiddie" called ReDaTtAcK. This man turns out to
be a very clever marketeer who has seen a new way to make a
living by running simple NT auditing tools in order to get
payed by big companies.
But, first of all... A quick tour on this history.
August 1999, a nice Belgian summer was abruptly shocked by
a "hacker" calling himself ReDaTtAcK. He got a dozen of
credit card numbers by using an error in the cache in the
webserver. This attack was well known, yet Skynet ( which
is a dept. of Belgacom, national telephone-provider ) was
vulnerable. In a few anonymous interviews he claimed the
"Belgian police force would never be able to track him
down".
A few days later, he got busted! He claimed to be busted
by a traitor who recognized his 'crackled' voice in a tv show.
Truth was, he "defaced" using his cellular, so it wasn't a
big deal to track the number down for Belgacom.
So far for his "un-catchable" image he has been putting up
at various tv and radio shows. Most belgian hackers and
computernerds started to doubt his skills. Quick researches
done by various small groups of computerfreaks resulted in
a picture which wasn't very nice... Just a simple, plain
Script Kiddie making the five-o-clock news.
After that, he "hacked" General Bank; a belgian financial
institution which performs online banking. There is strong
evidence this attack came from a cooperation from the inside,
since Frans Devaere had many friends at the helpdesk at the
Generale Bank. And, he hacked the helpdesk-account, by
running a brute force crack. The password was "hlpdsk", yes,
a weak password caused havoc. Unlike Skynet, Generale
Bank didn't file a lawsuit against him, instead they asked
him to join them to insure their security.
Again, he busted himself into the newspapers claiming he
was the only one who hacked Generale Bank this way, and that
he'd continue hacking other financial institutions, ... He
made it into alot of magazines and news editions all claiming
the same: "I am the belgian überhacker".
His vision on the Internet was far from reality, as he claimed
the internet was a childpornography poluted place, he just
embarassed the entire Internet community.
In fact he was nothing but a lame script kiddie nearly capable
of installing and using Windows NT. Not very long thereafter
many pages of ReDaTtAcK got defaced as a sign of disgust from
the belgian scene.
The truth never made the Belgian news... The truth was
silenced by the media... We mourned this fact of betrayal.
Caused by the actions of ReDaTtAcK he "helped" the Minister of
Telecommunications to rush the implementation of a new IT law,
with new and very strict rules about hacking. As of then, we
are now enslaved by a totally new law...
This made most of us angry, and in an IRC chat together with
organisations out of The Netherlands (hit2000, phreak.nl) we
got him on IRC. It turned out he was lying to us all the way!
He was a so called Red Hat Linux user, while a simple CTCP
Version query informed us he was running mIRC... Simple and
basic questions on encryption could -not- be answered, and he
got nuked to hell. Something told us, he was not the man he
wanted us to believe. He was a script kiddie indeed!
In the meanwhile he got copyrights on his nickname and erected a
Foundation ( Redattack.Hackers.Foundation ) to stop the
childpornography, warez, mp3, ... on the internet. The internet
website is http://www.redattack.be.
The main activity is to sell bagpacks, school materials, socks,
trousers, ... All labeled "ReDaTtAcK". Now it is clear to all
of us, Frans Devaere isn't even a Script Kiddie; he even stooped
lower and our disgust just grew stronger...
While the media keeps shooting him towards the stars, 90% of the
Belgian population thinks ReDaTtAcK is the man who can secure
their website. Frans Devaere himself know this too, and his
company is now ready to perform audits on big websites...
This man isn't capable of running Linux, let apart he is
capable of securing it!! From reliable source we knew he
couldn't meet the requirements to join an international security
company and dropped out! He is merely a lame script kiddie
claiming all the credit of all the hackers' work! Rain Forest
Puppy, Brock Tellier, Ussrlabs, ... He is claiming your
credits! Packetstorm, Securityfocus, ... These sites do one
hell of a job... He is reaping the results of your work.
"The truth about ReDaTtAcK?", you ask. Sigh... A mixture
of Bill Gates, JP and Adolf Hitler would be a nice approach.
The grandour and marketing insight of Bill Gates making him
a man which companies tend to put their trust into him, JP
of his low-by-earth'ly way of "handling problems" and his
arrogant way of living and Adolf Hitler to ban all information
of the Internet which doesn't get approved by Frans Devaere
himself... Did you know Frans Devaere is taking steps of
shutting our website down!!?
His mission is to stop all "filth" on the Internet. Think twice!
What morron would make this statement? He is a morron, yes...
.... but, he is one everybody believes! Because the Belgian
media doesn't give a damn about truth and critical issues.
Truth appears to be banned from Belgium! Over months and months
of hard work, there are no results and we no longer have to
count on the Belgian media to bring out the truth. Therefore we
are sending out this cry for help!
Why would you support this mission? Because you and/or your
organization wants a free internet; an internet free of
ridiculous and strict laws! Because you and/or your organization
doesn't want that JP breed spreading around! Because you and/or
your organization are fed up with script kiddies claiming to be
real hackers by humiliating a whole hacker community in front of
national tv! Because you want to be bring out the truth, and
nothing else but the truth so witness your lifestyle!
How can you support this action, by putting this textfile
unchanged on your website and spreading it to various
newssources. Within a few days, we'll be having banners and we
encourage everybody to use these at their sites. You -do-
make a difference.
It may seem a small "thingie" to you, and you might not even
care... But, to us, it's very important to stop this incompetent
madman, because he is -not- securing servers, he is out for
hackers to shut them down (witness; new laws, ... ), ... This
madman is backed up by the media, and we? We are shun by the
media because we want to break out the truth, so the media
itself would be set as "idiots to believe that man".
